Jessica is 3 and loves everything to do with Peppa Pig and avidly watches the TV show, so the most natural place for her to be was Peppa Pig World with 20 members of her family, one of our biggest family get-togethers to date.
From the age of 17-months, Jessica has been treated for high risk neuroblastoma, this is a very challenging cancer. So far Jessica’s treatment has been long and included chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery for a stem cell transplant and immunotherapy. She has been incredibly brave and is thankfully now in remission, but monitored closely by the hospital. Jessica’s mum, Susie, said Jessica s doing really well and is now at nursery with her twin brother.
Originally, Dreams Come True booked a short break away in a Southampton hotel with Jessica, her mum, dad, twin brother Jamie and her older brothers Oliver and Thomas. However, once her extended family found out where she was going, over 20 members of Jessica’s family decided that they wanted to share Jessica’s special time away. Susie, Jessica’s mum said: “Everything went so smoothly, the hotel was wonderful. We have all been on a difficult two year journey and so to share such a lovely experience with all of our family was wonderful.”
Another highlight was seeing Jessica swimming, during her treatment she wasn’t allowed to swim, so it was really lovely to see her splashing around in the pool. Susie said: “Jessica loved every minute of Peppa Pig World, she was so excited running around screaming and she loved the fact she was with all of her family.”
Susie said we were having such an amazing time that we asked to extend our holiday by one day: “We had such a wonderful time that we just didn’t want the holiday to end, the next day we sailed over to the Isle of White. Thank you so much Dreams Come True.”
