The original Darth Vader descends on Whiteley

He may come from a galaxy far, far away, but the original Darth Vader, Dave Prowse took time away from the Death Star to meet and greet fans at Whiteley Cineworld.

Dave said: ‘I’m very happy to be in down town Whiteley to meet all the Star Wars fans, who turned up in their hundreds to see me, which was marvellous.’

Dave Prowse, who played Darth Vader in three films in the late 1970s and early 1980s, said that he had enjoyed the latest film in the series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Dave kindley gave up his time to meet fans and sign autographs to raise money towards our Christmas appeal.

Congratulations to Danny Gillard who won the lightsabre and book, Stephen Kenna who won the Airfix model and Meodie Henry who won the signed DVD.
