Dreams Come True

Kayleigh's star baking before skydive

I've never even come close to anything like this before. That's why I wanted to challenge myself and do something amazing for others in the process. My previous bake sales have always been a winner, but I wanted something a little different, a little special. Then the Dreams Come True website inspired me. A tandem skydive, perfect for thrill-seekers and I might even get my name in the record books. So on 20th June 2015, I'll be throwing myself out of a plane and hurtling towards the ground at 120mph from 10,000ft up for the best cause I know.

Being the keen baker that I am, I had a weekly charity bake in my workplace to raise funds for my Skydive. Everyone was really generous and I can thank the lovely people at WorleyParsons enough for their kind donations. The cake weren’t bad either! Strawberries and fresh cream Victoria sponge, banana & caramel cake, coffee & walnut cake with peanut butter frosting, mini chocolate Easter cupcakes, salted caramel sponge with vanilla buttercream, bake well sponge and even oaty fruit scones with homemade jam and cream!

I always raise money for Dreams Come true, on any occasion that I can. They do such amazing work for children, young people and their families. It’s always a pleasure and a challenge to find bigger and better ways to get the donations that make Dreams Come True.
