Joanna Cleeve is a local photographer who is based in Midhurst, West Sussex. She is one of Dreams Come True’s past Dream children, as she was taken to meet Steps, Ant & Dec and others at SMTV Live studios when she was 9 years old. Joanna had ALL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which she was diagnosed with when she was 8 years old, 3 days before Christmas in 1998, and finished treatment in 2000.
"My involvement with Dreams Come True started in April 2015 when they asked me would I like to go to London with them to photograph Laura Hamilton’s baby shower, and I said yes as I thought what a great opportunity, and being one of their dream children it was my way of giving back to them. The following month I was invited to Hamleys to photograph Dream Day, which was so great with lots of happy children seeing some of their favourite characters and having the entire world famous toy store to themselves."
The charity does some amazing things for seriously ill children and helps their dreams come true. Since Dreams Come True helped my dream come true as a child, I have, with the help of friends and family, raised money for them, and now with my job provide photograph services for them at events when asked.
