Daniel at Silverstone
Daniel's dream was to go watch the Formula 1 live with his dad.
Daniel, who is 19, has T.cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and it has been his long term dream to go watch the Formula 1 live with his dad, being an avid fan.
“To go to watch F1 live would be fantastic and amazing, instead of watching it on tv, to actually be there and feel the atmosphere. Just to get away and experience it would be a dream come true to me and my family.”
It was our pleasure to help that dream come true in July this year and Daniel was able to spend the whole weekend at Silverstone with his dad. They stayed at a local B&B and had quality time together.
On the Saturday they enjoyed the hospitality section and spotted a few famous faces such as Jenson Button and Damon Hill.
During Sunday’s race day they sat in the Luffield block and enjoyed the main event, cheering Lewis Hamilton on to victory.
Daniel had an amazing time and said:
“I would just like to say a huge thank you for making my dream to go to Formula 1 come true, it has been the most amazing weekend from the lovely accommodation, to being so spoilt in hospitality on the Saturday. We saw lots of famous faces including Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Damon Hill to name a few, we also got to look around all the amazing cars and had the best views for both days especially on the Sunday race day which was the most fantastic day ever. My family and myself would like to thank all at #Dreamscometrue from the bottom of our hearts for creating these ever lasting memories with a Special thankyou to Laura for all the organising and helping make our weekend run smoothly.”
