12 year old Luke suffers from a life-limiting condition call Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This means that his muscles are getting progressively weaker. He has lost the ability to walk and is dependent on his wheelchair.
Luke and his Dad really love Rugby and it was Luke's dream to meet a rugby team.
Thanks to Sheila and Barney at Clear Computing and Martin Swann at Vantage Professional Risks, we were able to organise a dream with the Saracens. Once the Saracens heard about Luke, it was all systems go.
Not only were Luke and his parents Lisa and Shaun given superb seats with an excellent view to watch the match, but they had a tour of the stadium, enjoyed all the facilities at the Bobby Moore Suite at Wembley and got to meet The Vamps, a young band who currently have a hit song in the top 20.
Before the match began, Luke, dressed in the Saracens' kit, was with the team when they all came on the field. An extremely proud moment for Lisa and Shaun.
The match was truly exciting and although the Saracens were leading for much of it, they sadly lost by 1 point - the score being 16-17.
Luke was then taken back down to the Bobby Moore Suite where he got to meet Schalk Brits. Schalk plays in the position of hooker - he was amazing and spent well over half an hour chatting with Luke.
By the end of the day, there was one happy young man.
The following day, Luke was whisked from the hotel and taken to the Rainforest Cafe. Sheila from Clear Computing was delighted to be able to join the family for lunch after which Luke whent shopping around London.
