Blake and Ashton are two young brothers who both live with a very rare bone condition called congenital multiple exostoses. Both boys have difficulty walking and live with constant pain. They have both already had several operations.
Like all children, the boys love everything about Christmas and their dream was to meet Santa.
We arranged for the family to spend 3 very special days in snowy Lapland, enjoying festive fun. Whilst they were away, the family took time out of their fun-packed schedule to send us this message:
“The boys loved the arctic circle and husky heaven. We have just booked snow mobiles for tomorrow before we come home, as an extra treat for the boys. They are having the best time. Thanks again!”
Blake and Ashton enjoyed many snowy thrills, including husky sled rides, snowmobiles and reindeer drawn sleighs but the highlight of the trip was when they met Santa. The night before, the boys wrote to him and then burnt the letters in the fireplace and watched as the ashes went up the chimney. Imagine the look of surprise on the boys faces when Santa showed them their letters the next day! They simply couldn’t believe it and said it was magic!
The family had a wonderful time in Lapland and the boys' parents said the dream far exceeded their expectations. Ashton celebrated his 6th birthday on the flight coming home and was thrilled when the whole plane sang 'happy birthday' to him.
