Thanks to all your help, we were able to give Jay J his dream visit to watch Manchester United train and then meet all the players afterwards!

“Buzzing with excitement”, Jay J was counting down the hours until the day finally came… and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Watching all the players warm up and get stuck into their practise, Jay J’s favourite drill was ‘one-touch’. The players were only allowed to touch the ball once per session, so were really showing off their skills! Jay J really enjoyed watching them, and said it was so inspirational to see how Premiership players prepare for their season.

After training was over, it was time to actually meet the team. Jay J had bought a shirt from the gift shop and was lucky enough to have it signed by everyone, which he wore around with pride. Unleashing his cheeky chappie persona with the players, he joked that Manchester United had wanted his dad to play for them… but they couldn’t afford him!

His whole family are Rooney mad, so Jay J couldn’t wait to meet his favourite player – this is what he was looking forward to the most. Sometimes his dad even pretends to be Rooney and calls his little sister to wish her goodnight… and now he was going to meet him in person! Rooney finally came in towards the end of the session, shook Jay J’s hand and even had his photo taken with him – amazing! It was a great end to a really memorable day.

'Thank you very much'.

Jay J

'It was absolutely brilliant, thank you very much for making Jay J's dream come true'.

Jay J’s Dad, Jimmy
