Jodie is 22 and was diagnosed with cancer and asked Dreams Come True if she could indulge in a luxury spa weekend in London with her mum. She wanted some relaxing massages and facials and mum and daughter both wanted to spend some quality time with each other away from hospitals. They had both had a very difficult year and just wanted some “normal time,” Jodie told us it was the first time she had properly relaxed and laughed in a year – so her spa day was well overdue.
Jodie and her mum had a fantastic time, saying it was “absolutely amazing”, they spent the whole day being pampered and laughing and the time just flew by and it was extra special spending time with her mum. They made the most of being in London, they dined in celebrity restaurants, shopped in glamorous department stores and treated themselves to lots of new clothes.
They said the hotel room was gorgeous and couldn't fault it, saying it was the “best hotel they had ever stayed in”. Thankfully, Jodie is now in remission and is volunteering in her local hospital as she wanted to give something back.
"The Dreams Come True spa weekend was amazing. My doctor had just told me I was in remission so this had come at a great time. Me and my mum had a wonderful spa weekend; I have never been so relaxed. The massage and facial for three hours was one of the best things I have ever experienced, especially with a surprise cream tea afterwards. All the spa staff were great and very helpful. I got to spend some time with my mum doing something nice for a change instead of going to doctors’ appointments and hospital stays.
The hotel was so posh and beautiful. I'm so glad to have been able to have this experience to celebrate the end of a tough era. Thanks so much for making it happen."
