Issy’s dream was to see the West End hit musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with an overnight stay in London. Her mum, Alex, wanted her “beautiful daughter” to feel like a VIP. Issy was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma on 2014 and her mum is incredibly proud of her saying she has been really amazing during her illness and treatment.
Issy wanted to share her special dream trip to London with her best friend Chloe who has been a tremendous support during her treatment. Both girls are on the autistic spectrum and turned 18 in May and every Wednesday Chloe would come for lunch and sit and chat. Their friendship has been so important during this difficult time and Issy wanted to share her special day with her best friend.
They also had time to visit London Zoo and the highlight was seeing the butterflies close up in the Butterfly House, they also enjoyed eating huge pizzas and staying in a lovely hotel. Alex said the girls were overwhelmed by their magical weekend away.
“We are back from our brilliant "Dreams come True" weekend in London. Charlie and the chocolate factory was soooo good! Isobelle and Chloe loved it. The weekend was a great success, thanks to your brilliant organisational skills. We cannot thank you, the charity and the generosity of all who give to Dreams Come True enough for the experience. It meant so much, not only to Izzy, but to us as a family. A HUGE thank you from the Nicholsons. (And an extra one from Izzy).”
