8-year-old Freddie from Suffolk loves animals, his dream has always been to see and experience the amazing Australian wildlife. Freddie is no ordinary child, and adores watching his favourite channels like Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. Freddie’s ambition is to open his very own koala and kangaroo sanctuary!
Living with a rare congenital disorder, Freddie has to make frequent hospital visits and finds comfort in his animal programs. Freddie’s dream came true when we sent him on a trip of a life-time to Australia to meet his favourite furries.
Freddie’s condition means he has to deal with both physical and mental difficulties such as chronic hunger, low muscle tone and cognitive disabilities. Freddie’s dream experience took him to Australia where he got the chance to meet loads of amazing animals. His favourite experience was visiting the koala’s at the Lone Pine Sanctuary.
Freddie was also able to visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, a sanctuary dedicated to conserving the indigenous, and historic heritage of Australia. Freddie was able to immerse himself in kangaroo feeding and seeing more of his favourite animals including crocodiles and Tasmanian devils.
Freddie ticked another dream off his animal list when he got to swim with wild dolphins, a once in a life time experience.
The trip gave Freddie and his family valuable time to create precious memories that will be remembered forever.
“We had the most wonderful time. Thank you again for enabling me to share such precious memories with Freddie”.Jennie, Freddie’s mum
