Finance and Administration Support

I started volunteering at Dreams Come True in January 2013, looking for something purposeful to do with my spare time. I now have the privilege to work for the Charity.

In August 2013 I was appointed as Finance Administrator and just recently as Finance and Administration Support. My  job is to predominantly provide support to the Finance and Fundraising team and involves a variety of administrative duties.

I like to think that in some small way what I do helps make the dreams of the families we support come true. I get inspired when reading the stories that Dream Families send in after they have had their Dream fulfilled, and find it a truly humbling experience, hearing what it meant to them to have this special moment to remember for the rest of their lives, this is a great motivator!

I had the pleasure of meeting some of these families and it was a wonderful experience to see first-hand how much it meant to them.

I like that my job has purpose and that it’s not just a job, plus working with colleagues that have a great sense of humour, and that care about what we do passionately is a bonus!

I love to travel, and would love to one day explore more places that I haven’t yet, especially the ones that are off the beaten track. I also love animals, cooking, music, dancing, spending time with my friends and of course making Dreams Come True!
