Dashing around Whiteley

Sunday the 3rd December saw ELVES of all ages  even dogs take to the streets of Whiteley Village for the Dreams Come True Elf Dash family fun 5k.

It was quite a cold morning but spirits were high as the elves started off on their  5k  dash. Some walked some ran some even  skated but all were laughing and in the Christmas spirit the whole way around. It was fantastic to see families running together and having fun.

Once the elves completed the 5k course, they came through the finish where they were presented with an Elf medal, a free hot drink and snack from the wonderful Starbucks and also some goodies from Tesco and the body shop. The Harvester even gave us discounted breakfast vouchers for our elves.

One elf said “ This is a great way to get the kids active and Christmassy, we will certainly be telling our friends and colleagues to get involved next year”

Richard Peskett  said “My daughter is so proud of her medal and the fact she completed it! The Starbucks treat at the end was much appreciated!! Keep us updated on 2018”

T C Jones Groudworks said – “ It is a fantastic day and a great opportunity for our work colleagues to join together and have abit of Christmas fun, we will be back next year”

This is the second year we have hosted an Elf Dash at Whiteley and it is such a fun day for everybody. We are already planning something for next year but all I am going to say is, it will not be Elves!  We will be making it affordable for all of the family to be involved whilst also raising enough to make some dreams come true for seriously ill children and young adults/

Being our 30th Birthday next year we really want to host a bigger and better Christmas event at Whiteley and thank everyone who supported us-

Thank you to Starbucks, Tesco, The Bodyshop, The Harvester, The Rotary, HSBC, Marshalls, volunteers and of course all of the elves that helped us make this happen.
