Leeds Volunteer Team

The Leeds volunteer team have hit the ground running and over the past few months they have been working hard to raise money to fulfil the dreams of seriously ill or life-limited children and young adults.

In November 2017, Sarah and her work colleague organised a pub quiz at the Adelphi pub. Over 80 people showed up to enjoy the evening and the event raised nearly £250. The event was a real success and Sarah plans to organise another quiz over the next few months.

At the beginning of December 2017, volunteers from the development group and the local community came along to help at a bucket collection at Leeds United. It was a freezing cold evening however the team were in high spirits and successfully raised £417. This amount was then matched £1 for £1, bringing the total to £834!

In addition to these events, the team have been asking their friends, family and work colleagues to help buy a square on a 50:50 card to give them a chance of winning £50!

The team have lots of exciting events and activities planned for 2018 including a Mother’s Day Dream Tea, a sponsored abseil and much more!  To get involved with the Leeds team please get in touch
