Lake District Challenge

8th - 9th June 2024

Walk, jog or run the Lake District Challenge and take on England's finest countryside at your pace. Suitable for all experience levels and you'll get the best support and hospitality all the way.

The Challenge Base Camp is in Kendal. From there it's a 100km anticlockwise loop taking in a couple of tough hills, Ambleside, a half way point by Lake Windermere, forests, and nature reserves, with stunning views en route before a huge welcome and celebration back at Base Camp after a momentous journey. Choose from distance options of 10km, 25km, 50km or 100km.

Your entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt, and a medal to commemorate your achievement.

You have 2 options when signing up for a place to support Dreams Come True:

1. Charity Sponsorship – pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place!

10km: Reg fee £10 and fundraising target £100
25km: Reg fee £20 and fundraising target £249
50km: Reg fee £30 and fundraising target £360
100km: Reg fee £40 and fundraising target £575

2. Mixed Funding – pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event
place cost.

10km: Reg fee £22.50 and fundraising target £70
25km: Reg fee £50 and fundraising target £150
50km: Reg fee £75 and fundraising target £225
100km: Reg fee £100 and fundraising target £300

South West Coast 50 Challenge

A fantastic summer challenge, taking in the first Minehead section of the famous 630 mile Coastal Path and with a basecamp in the shadows of Dunster Castle. Walk, jog or run and choose from 10km, 25km or 50km.
Cotswold Way Challenge

Rolling hills, villages, the Cotswold Way, footpaths & trails, with fabulous views en route. Walk, jog or run and choose from 10km, 25km, 50km, 75km or 100km.
London Summer Walk

Walk and explore some of the Capital’s less known historic areas with a tour of the ‘gateway to London’ along the Thames’s eastern section.
London 2 Brighton Challenge

Start at Richmond, then over the North Downs with wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside. Walk, jog or run and choose from 25km, 50km, 75km or 100km.
Jurassic Coast Challenge

Explore the Jurassic Coast, from Corfe Castle to Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, with ups and downs to the Weymouth halfway point. Walk, jog or run and choose from 10km, 25km, 50km, 75km or 100km.
Isle of Wight Challenge

Great challenges need great settings - and none are better than the Island's coastal path. Walk, jog or run and choose from 10 mile, 25km, 50km, 75km or 100km.
Bungee Jump

Get your heart racing with a 160ft or 300ft Bungee Jump and choose from fantastic locations across the UK.
Easter 50 Challenge

Walk, jog or run 10k, 25km or 50km, and make Easter weekend one to remember.

Make A Referral

We only accept referrals from medical, healthcare, or social care professionals. Applications are on a first come first served basis, to ensure that no child is waiting too long for delivery of their dream.

To ensure we reach the children who deserve our attention the most, we work with children who are living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country, and are living with a disability, serious illness, or life-limiting conditions. More info
What is a Dream?

Whether it's a break for a young cancer patient, a specially adapted trike for a child with cerebral palsy, a tablet to help an autistic teenager develop their communication skills, or a seriously ill child’s room makeover. Each dream brings a moments of magic and has a lasting impact for years to come. More info

How it works

We work exclusively with, and only manage dream referrals from, those who know the Dreamers best –medical, healthcare and social care professionals.
Eligibility Criteria

To ensure we reach the children who need our attention the most, we have a set eligibility criteria that must be met in order to have a dream come true.

Bringing moments of magic that have a lasting impact for years to come. Our belief is that every young person has the right to dream, no matter who they are, or where they live.
