Dreams Come True arranged for 191 SEND students at Birmingham’s Summit Learning Trust an all-expenses paid experience to Nottingham’s Theatre Royal to see the hilarious musical based on the David Walliams book Billionaire Boy - about a boy who’s father made a fortune from toilet rolls.

Most of these children come from areas of high deprivation, and some students had never stepped foot in a theatre before. Angus, the Head Of Resource at Ninestiles School, Angus, said: "they had so many questions and were surprised not to see a screen and blown away to see real people up on the stage!"

On arrival, the children were treated to a buffet lunch and LOTS of chocolate goodies for pud! Then they went into the auditorium for the rip-roaringly funny Billionaire Boy! Some students couldn’t help but make gagging noises at the gross parts! The children left the theatre buzzing and full of energy!

Vince Green, Summit Learning Trust education director, said:

“The trip has provided some wonderful enrichment to our students’ lives and enabled so many of them to benefit from an external school visit after a period of time where such opportunities have been very limited. Huge thanks to all involved for supporting our Summit Learning Trust family.

Your organisation carry out so much exceptional work and for our learners to benefit from this is humbling.”

Oh, and did we forget to mention the personalized message from David Walliams himself on the morning of the trip to wish them all a wonderful time?

We LOVED delivering this dream and hearing the happy cheers of these children.
