I laugh in the face of danger!

In April 2017, 21-year-old Chelsea was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive cancer of the myeloid cell. Chelsea had a bone marrow transplant October 2017 and has gone through a course of chemotherapy; her recovery has been long and difficult.

During her treatment and recovery, Chelsea was positive about her future and was planning activities she’d like to do once she was well enough. She loved the Lion King as a child and had a dream to watch the Lion King stage show.

Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to send Chelsea on her dream. Chelsea’s dream, like all dreams, are so important as they help provide a positive distraction as well as give children and young adults who have serious or life-limiting conditions something to look forward to and a new focus away from their illness, their treatment and the tough days in the hospital.
