Community Dreams What is a Community Dream? Community Dreams go beyond supporting an individual child and look to reach the wider community, benefiting larger groups of children who have it tough. This could be with a dream for a special needs school, providing equipment like interactive technology to classrooms or adapted trikes. Or it could be a sensory room makeover in the community, providing a sensory toy library, or creating an accessible outdoor space. Applications are open for our Community Dream programme. The Community Dream will need to reflect our current referral criteria to support children and young people aged 5-18 living with a disability or serious illness, and who live in the top 30% areas of deprivation. Please note we are not able to accept applications on behalf of businesses or commercial projects. Do you meet the following criteria? Do you support children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years of age? Do you support children or young people who have a serious or life limiting medical condition? If you are a school, do 50% or more of your pupils receive free school meals? Or if you are a school in Scotland, do 50% of your pupils live in the top 30% deprived areas according to SIMD? If you are a community group, are you located in the top 30% deprived area of the country? (Please refer to the postcode checker link below) You currently do not have a fundraising department or have a paid member of staff for this role. Do you support at least more than 20 children or young people who fit our eligibility criteria? Your dream request / project is free for families to access, and is not a business or trade. If the potential Reach for your Community Dream is less than 20, please get in touch to discuss options with one of our Dream Coordinators.
