An elephant never forgets

Eve is 20 years old and was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in February 2018. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of lymphoma that originates from a specific type of white blood cells. Like all diagnoses, this news was incredibly difficult for Eve and her family. Luckily, as it was caught early, treatment went extremely well and after completing a course of chemotherapy, Eve is in remission.

As Eve is fully recovered, she wanted to explore other countries and experience their wildlife. Her dream was to travel to Africa and visit an elephant sanctuary as elephants have always had a special place in her heart. Eve identifies with the strong family bond that elephants have with one another and wanted to experience their habits up-close.

Thanks to all our amazing supporters and Somak Holidays, who specialise in African safari holidays, we were able to make Eve's dream come true.

Thank you message

It was absolutely amazing, we saw so many elephants and loads of other animals too! I really loved the buffalos which surprised me, we watched them playing around and diving into the watering hole and it was so fun to see! Mum loved it as well, we already want to be back! Thank you so so much for organising this all, it was a once in a lifetime experience I am so grateful I got the opportunity! - Eve
