A Running Play

We helped to arrange a dream holiday to Los Angeles for Marcus, who was given the all clear a year ago, and he travelled to LA with his partner Alana, who was by his side throughout his illness and treatment.

They had an amazing time in LA and one of their highlights from the trip was attending the NFL game which we helped to arrange at the LA Memorial Coliseum, where they watched the Los Angeles Rams versus the Chicago Bears. Marcus has been a fan of American sports since he was young and has always followed the NFL on television but he told us that being at the game was a totally different experience and one that he will never forget. There were just over 70000 people present at the game and since he was in Los Angeles, he naturally supported the Rams, who actually won the game 17-7.

Other highlights over the ten days in Los Angeles included visiting all the famous sights. They hired bikes and rode down to Santa Monica Pier, walked The Hollywood Walk of Fame starting at Sunset Boulevard, did a tour of the Celebrity Houses and went to the Griffith Observatory.

Keeping to the theme of Marcus’s love for American sports, they also managed to squeeze in seeing a basketball game!

To end their trip they visited Universal Studios thanks to tickets gifted by their parents.
