Emme is 4 years old and lives in Wiltshire with her mum Carly and her brother Hayden. Carly says that she lives in awe of Emme, describing her as “one of those characters in life you’ll never forget”. The nurses always fight over who can look after Emme when she comes to the hospital.

Emme loves to play practical jokes too, teaming  up with Hayden to replace the contents of her mum’s mouthwash with soap and water. Emme also loves dancing and singing – Dua Lipa is a real favourite of hers. Perhaps one day we’ll see her performing on stage.

Diagnosed at birth with cystic fibrosis, Emme was relatively well for the first two years. However, as time has gone on she has become more poorly and in the past year has been admitted to hospital five times. She is just starting to realise that she is different to other children.

Emme hasn’t been able to go to school and has felt very isolated during lockdown. She has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, something which makes shielding at home even more difficult.

Emme has chosen to go to Cornwall for her dream, somewhere the family used to go every year before covid struck. Emme’s Mum says that when she is there she’s like a different child; she gets to be free in the open space and enjoy the fresh sea air.

Emme has been asking when they can go back to Cornwall, and was so disappointed when it had to be cancelled in 2020. It is a long overdue holiday after a hard year.

Well the wait is almost over for Emme, as we have booked her Cornwall break for June, so it's only a few weeks to go!

Could you help us to make more dreams like Emme's come true? Our #mydream5 campaign is a great opportunity for you to fundraise with friends, or simply to make a donation, all the details are here. Thank you.
