Owen's F1 Dream Written by Binny Shah Something to Remember 16 year old Owen, who is an avid fan of Formula 1 and watches the Silverstone race every year on TV, has epilepsy, global developmental delay and autism, and is at risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epliepsy due to his seizures at night. His mum applied to us for an opportunity for Owen to spend a a weekend watching the Formula 1 with his dad, but kept it a secret until it was booked. Owen was very excited to find out that he has weekend tickets to the Formula 1 weekend in July, watching from the T1 enclosure with his dad! What an amazing experience. He even managed to get some amazing souvenirs such as a t-shirt and a hat, and his mum had to plead with him to take it off so she could wash it! She told us: “They both had a wonderful time at the Grand Prix. It was amazing and really calm Owen managed it very well and had the best time ever. He will remember it for many many years to come.
