The Greer family live in the south side of Glasgow and have two children — Carson (4) and Paige (5).

Carson has a medical condition called Tracheomalacia and oesophageal atresia which he’s had from birth.  In Carson’s case it is caused by the membrane at the back of his airway to interfering with his breathing and restricting his airflow.

Carson’s condition means he is susceptible to frequent and prolonged respiratory infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia.  Play time can be particularly challenging because he’s unable to exercise for very long without experiencing breathing difficulties.  His condition also means that he is fed through a tube.

Aside from this, Carson is a very typical, boisterous and charming 4-year-old boy.  He loves spiderman and cars and superheroes and dinosaurs (who doesn’t?).

He loves being outdoors and riding his scooter. Carson doesn’t let his condition get in the way of him enjoying life and loves to be out in the back garden playing with his big sister.

Carson’s Dream was to have a climbing frame in his back garden that he could play on with his sister, a Dream that we made happen with the support of  local businesses in Glasgow.

Ashley, Carson’s mum told us, “He has always loved climbing and swings - A climbing frame allows him to get the exercise he needs, right in the garden where I can keep an eye on him, and he can come inside to rest in the house when he’s had enough’.
