Trust & Foundation and Legacy Manager

Responsible to:  Head of Bespoke Fundraising

Contract: Full time (35 hours)

Location:  Liphook, Hampshire – hybrid working between office and home

Role Summary

This is a role within the Bespoke fundraising team, which is responsible for Corporate, Major Donor, Trusts and Foundations (T&F) and Legacies. Reporting to the Head of Bespoke Fundraising, the post holder will be the sole T & F and Legacy Team member. Working closely with the Mass Fundraising Team who are responsible for Community Fundraising, Challenge & Events and Individual Giving activity.

These teams work together regularly, the Bespoke Fundraising team have support from the Events, Fundraising & Marketing Officers as well as our Marketing Consultant to support where required.

In addition to this the role also works closely with the Dreams team to develop funding packages and cases for support to strengthen the proposition submitted.

This is a results driven role with the postholder leading the planning and delivery of all T&F and Legacy activity to deliver annual targets (£180,000 increasing to £300,000) and ensure accurate reporting to strengthen donor loyalty.

As this is currently a business development role, the post holder will take over from the current contractor in place, managing any existing relationships with Trusts, but most importantly picking up the development of our pipeline of Trust, Grants & Foundations applications and managing a newly launched Legacy offering.

Once developed, they will manage a portfolio of relationships with Trusts, managing and developing a mailing programme for small Trusts, making regular solicitations to medium to high value Trusts.  The post holder will represent Trust donors within the organisation, providing stewardship of their funds so that it is spent in line with the purpose for which they were raised.  They will fulfil reports on work funded by Trusts donors in line with their requirements. 

They are also responsible for running all Planned Giving / Legacy activity including marketing plans, promotion and activity, communications with solicitors, record keeping and administration. Please note that this is the smaller part of the role, expecting around 0.5 days a week compared to the rest of the time focused on TF&L.

Fundraising Manager 

Responsible to:  Head of Mass Fundraising

Contract: Full time (35 hours)

Location:  Liphook, Hampshire – hybrid working between office and home, there will also be a requirement working evenings and weekends when required. 

Salary/status  £28,000-£30,000 per year, Permanent


Role Summary

The Mass Fundraising team is responsible for Community Fundraising, Challenge & Events and Individual Giving activity. Our focus is on delivering and developing fundraising opportunities and experiences that will not only maximising support for Dreams Come True, but turn one off fundraisers, into lifetime supporters. 

The purpose of the role is to secure income for, and increase awareness of, Dreams Come true across the UK, by building, developing, and maintaining new and existing relationships in the community, using our portfolio of fundraising products to support.

 You will join a small but friendly and committed team, dedicated to building lasting relationships with supporters and raising much needed income to ensure we can deliver more dreams, to those who need it most.

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Head of Mass Fundraising and play a significant role in contributing to the fundraising team. You will be responsible for Community Fundraising, Challenge & Events and Individual Giving activity, focusing on a national effort and working very closely with the Head of Mass Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising department.

The role also works closely with Bespoke fundraising team, which is responsible for Corporate, Major Donor, Trusts and Foundations (T&F) and Legacies and will provide support and guidance to the Fundraising and Marketing Officers.
