Lake District Challenge

Take on England’s finest countryside at your pace. The Challenge basecamp is in Kendal, then it’s a 100km anticlockwise loop taking in a couple of tough hills, the Garburn Pass, historic Ambleside, a half way point by Lake Windermere, forests & nature reserves – with stunning views en-route, before a huge welcome and celebration at basecamp after a momentous journey.

Entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, finisher's t-shirt and a medal to commemorate your achievement.

You have 2 options when signing up for a place to support Dreams Come True:

1. Charity Sponsorship – pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place!

10km: Reg fee £10 and fundraising target £100
25km: Reg fee £20 and fundraising target £240
50km: Reg fee £30 and fundraising target £360
100km: Reg fee £40 and fundraising target £575

2. Mixed Funding – pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event place cost.

10km: Reg fee £22.50 and fundraising target £70
25km: Reg fee £50 and fundraising target £150
50km: Reg fee £75 and fundraising target £225
100km: Reg fee £100 and fundraising target £300

Make A Referral

We only accept referrals from medical, healthcare, or social care professionals. Applications are on a first come first served basis, to ensure that no child is waiting too long for delivery of their dream.

To ensure we reach the children who deserve our attention the most, we work with children who are living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country, and are living with a disability, serious illness, or life-limiting conditions. More info
