A Few Words From Lisa

Finding our Esme had been accepted for the group trip to Orlando really was a dream come true. We are a family of big Disney fans and even when times got hard I promised Esme she would go to Disney world one day. That day came. From the moment we arrived at Gatwick hotel Esme and indeed ourselves were treated like royalty.

Not just by the charity staff but the other people involved. Virgin staff, Gatwick staff, and CLC staff. Making sure every need was catered for as the children enjoyed meeting Anna and having cheeky puppets in the evening. The following day we were sent off from Gatwick with quite a fanfare. Plenty of entertainment and lots of goody bags and we hadn't even left the UK!

After a pleasant 9 hour flight, we were shown to our own personally villa's in Kissimmee supplied by CLC resorts. They were absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family's needs. Over the following days, we went to Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Island of Adventure and SeaWorld.

All with wonderful passes in hand that let us be at the very front of the magic. I didn't know so many phenomenal memories could be made in such a short time or that such great friends could be made in such a few days. The trip gave us something we could never get at home. Between the stress of day to day life and the realities of living with a medically fragile child. It gave us time.

Time to be a family

Time to be together with no worries or stress

Time to have fun!

Being able to just enjoy time and making every second matter is something not every family with a specialist child is granted and we are so grateful to dreams come true for giving it to us.
