Sam is 6 years old and is a bit of a daredevil – he loves rollercoasters! It's one of the reasons that Sam used to so look forward to his weekly cycling sessions with the charity Free Wheel North.

These sessions give children the opportunity to ride adapted trikes in Sam’s local park. His Mum Gillian told us that having his own trike would be his dream “Sam absolutely loves going on the trike – he really goes at it great guns!”

Sam has autism and hypermobility and also experiences difficulties with sleep, behaviour and speech. He struggles with anxiety and this severely limits where he and his family can go together.

Gillian told us that Sam having his very own trike would be something familiar that might make him feel calm enough that he could visit a new place.

Gillian hoped that the trike might help expand his world, giving him different experiences in new places.

After the big reveal of Sam’s new trike, Gillian says, “Thanks to your charity Sam now has his own beautiful trike, he was absolutely mesmerised with it on Christmas Day and couldn’t take his eyes off it. To see how happy he was is a moment we will never forget.
