Dreams Come True regards the health, safety, and welfare of all our beneficiaries’ as one of its highest priorities. The charity recognises and fully accepts its moral and statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and its duty to protect staff, trustees, and volunteers from unfounded allegations of abuse.

Good communication is essential in any organisation, and we here at Dreams Come True, will make every effort to ensure that, should individuals have any concerns they will be listened to and taken seriously.

Our safeguarding policy, procedures, and code of conduct, provides a clear statement of intent and demonstrates our commitment to all, whilst providing guidance and clear expectation to those who are responsible to uphold it.

Raise a concern:

If you would like to raise as concern about a child or young person being neglected or abused, please contact our safeguarding staff.  For reasons of confidentiality this can be done in the first instance via email to [email protected] or alternatively you can call 01428 726330 and ask for one of the following members of staff:

Safer Recruitment Policy:

We are committed to safeguarding, staff and volunteers are subject to appropriate vetting procedures (proof of eligibility to work in the UK, proof of residency and satisfactory employment screening, including DBS and two most recent references) and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check prior to appointment in line with Safer Recruitment, along with 3-yearly renewals of DBS.

As part of their induction process staff and volunteers undertake training in safeguarding, child protection, Prevent and for those involved in recruitment - safer recruitment. With refresher training at required intervals.
