Layla is living with cystic fibrosis and sadly had to have her original dream date delayed due to the pandemic and her health taking a turn for the worst, which resulted in surgery.

Layla’s dream featured in our recent Dream Tree appeal which we are very grateful to all of you who contributed and especially to Selwood Ltd for their very generous donation to help make Layla’s dream come true, we are very thankful to everybody on behalf of Layla and her family.

This lovely feedback on the dream from Layla’s dad, “Well where do I start firstly thank you all so much for an amazing day we had at Harry Potter world, I was so impressed by everything and so much to do and take in it was a great experience.

The cake at the end was amazing and Layla absolutely loved it, it tasted and looked amazing and Kathy had done an amazing job on the cake. On arrival they saw Layla’s birthday badge and gave her a special Harry Potter birthday badge too and all the staff on the tour wished her a happy birthday, the digital tour was a great addition to the tour and was able to give us some amazing information during the tour and different points and the interaction you get from staff was incredible.”

Dreams like Layla's can give such a boost to the health and wellbeing of both the individual and their family, that lasts well beyond the duration of the dream experience. It's what drives us to reach ever more children and young people with serious illnesses or life-limiting conditions so that we can make this hugely positive difference in their lives.
